Raymond Chan

Raymond Chan 

Chief Investment Officer, Equity, Asia Pacific

Raymond is responsible for the equity and multi-asset investment professionals in Asia Pacific (excluding Korea). He has overall responsibility for the investment process and performance in the Asia Pacific region and is a member of the Global Investment Management Group and Global Policy Council. Raymond has 28 years of portfolio management experience in the region and is the lead manager for AllianzGI’s Core Regional (Asia Pacific ex-Japan equity) products.

Prior to joining the Group in 1998, Raymond was Head of Greater China team with Barclays Global Investors in Hong Kong, where he specialized in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan stock markets and managed single country and regional portfolios. Raymond’s Hong Kong Fund at Barclays was ranked no. 1 offshore fund in 1997. He is a CFA charter holder and holds an M.A. in Finance and Investment from the University of Exeter and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from the University of Durham, UK.

Christina Chung

Christina Chung 

Head of China Equities

Christina joined the firm in 1998 and has been a managing director since January 2010. She is head of the Greater China Equity Team and lead manager of the Hong Kong, China and Greater China equity mandates. The Hong Kong and China Funds that she manages have won industry recognition and awards for consistent strong performance. She has 29 years of experience in managing Asian regional and single country portfolios for both institutional and retail accounts. Before joining the Group, she was a senior portfolio manager with Royal Bank of Canada Investment Management. Prior to that, she was a portfolio manager with Search International and an economist with HSBC Asset Management. Christina was educated in Canada. She attained a Bachelor of Administration from Brock University, followed by an M.A. in Economics from the University of Alberta. She became a Certified Management Accountant in 1992 and qualified as a chartered financial analyst, AIMR, in 1995.

Neil Dwane

Global Strategist

Neil Dwane is the Global Strategist for AllianzGI, based in London and is responsible for ‘AllianzGI house view’, the development of the biannual Investment Forums and our investment through leadership content. He is a member of the Global Investment Management Group and is also responsible for the Economics and Strategy team, as well as our monthly Global Policy Council calls.

He continues to manage Equity portfolios including our successful European Equity Dividend Fund and other Pan-European equity portfolios. Neil joined the company in 2001 as Head of UK and European Equity Management from JPMorgan Investment Management where he had been a UK and European specialist portfolio manager since 1996.

He began his investment career in 1988 with Kleinwort Benson Investment Management as an analyst, later as a fund manager before moving to Fleming Investment Management in 1992. Neil holds a B. A. in Classics from Durham University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Dianna Enlund

Dianna Enlund is Head of Australia and Senior Product Specialist at Allianz Global Investors, based in Singapore. She joined the firm in 2013 and covers Asian Fixed Income capabilities managed in Singapore and Hong Kong. Prior to joining Allianz Global Investors, Dianna worked at Schroder Investment Management in Singapore as a Product Manager for Asian Bonds and in Institutional Marketing since 2003. Before her time at Schroders, she worked for Ord Minnett Ltd and JP Morgan in Australia in various fixed income and marketing roles. She commenced her career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen in Australia. Dianna holds a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting from Macquarie University and is a Certified Practicing Accountant of Australia (CPA).

Kunal Ghosh

Mr. Ghosh is the Head of Systematic Equities, Singapore and a portfolio manager with Allianz Global Investors based in Singapore. He joined the firm in 2006 and has 12 years of investment-industry experience.

Before joining AllianzGI, Mr. Ghosh was a research associate and portfolio manager at Barclays Global Investors, where he built and implemented models for portfolio management. Before that, Mr. Ghosh was a quantitative analyst at Cayuga Hedge Fund.

Mr. Ghosh has a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, India, an M.S. in material engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada and an M.B.A. from Cornell University, United States.

Siddharth Johri

Siddharth Johri 

Assistant Portfolio Manager

Siddharth joined the firm as an Assistant Portfolio Manager with responsibility for providing Indian stock recommendations to our Indian Equity fund as well as regional Asian equity portfolios.

Siddharth joined the Group in 2015. He has 12 years of investment experience. Siddharth started his investment career at Citi Global Markets based in Mumbai before joining their Global Equities team in Hong Kong in 2008 focused on Indian equities. He subsequently worked at JP Morgan and was a Director at HSBC Asia Equities, specializing in Indian equity idea generation for investment managers with a focus on finding high quality companies with strong visible growth prospects using both fundamental and quantitative techniques. At both companies Siddharth was ranked top tier by his client base.

Siddharth graduated with a Bachelor degree in Information Technology from Delhi University in 2002 and received a post graduate diploma in Business Management with a specialization in Finance and Economics from the Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur in 2006.

Dennis Lai

Dennis joined the firm as a portfolio manager in 2003, and has been a Director since 2009. Dennis is currently the Head of Regional Small & Mid Cap Team and the lead manager of the Asia Pacific’s Emerging Frontier Asia strategies. Under his management, the Allianz Little Dragons has been awarded Best Fund over 3 years in 2008 and 2009 by Lipper in the Equity Asia Pacific Small and Mid Caps category.

During his time as Head of Asia ex-Japan Mid and Small Cap Research with Cazenove Asia, Dennis was ranked as a top 3 sell side research analyst (Asia ex-Japan Small Cap Category) by Institutional Investors Magazine in 2001 and 2002. From 1994, Dennis spent seven years as an investment manager with Special Assets Ltd. From 1991 to 1993 he was Chief Financial Officer for Bridestowe Estates Pty Ltd. in Queensland, Australia. Before that period, Dennis was in Hong Kong from 1986 to 1991 working in the accounting and corporate finance areas for Anglo Chinese Corporate Finance Ltd., Citicorp and Price Waterhouse.

Dennis attained a Masters of Commerce degree, majoring in Finance, in 1986 at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. He has been a member of CPA Australia since 1989 and a member of Financial Institute of Australasia since 1994.

Terence Law

Terence Law 

Head of Research

Terence joined as Senior Research Analyst in 2005. He has been a Director since 2009 and has assumed the role of Head of Research, Asia Pacific in 2011. Throughout his 22 years’ experience in equity research, he has focused primarily on the financial sectors in Asia.

Prior to joining the Group, Terence was Regional Banking Analyst at Cazenove (acquired by Standard Chartered Bank), one of several investment banks he worked for.

Before that, Terence was an Administrative Officer at the Hong Kong Government. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and is also a CFA Charter holder. Terence is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Tobias C. Pross

Tobias C. Pross 

Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa

Tobias Pross joined Allianz Asset Management, the former asset management holding company of Allianz Group in Germany in early 1999. With effect of 1 June 2015 Tobias has been appointed as Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa, and became a member of the Global Executive Committee. From 2010 onwards, Tobias held several leading positions in German and European Institutional Business Development at AllianzGI. Before that, he was among others with Allianz Pension Partners GmbH (APP), a subsidiary of Allianz Global Investors Deutschland GmbH. Tobias chaired the APP board of managers from the outset in 2005, and was appointed CEO in February 2006.

From April 2018 onwards, he will assume the position as Global Head of Distribution.

In July 2016, he has been elected President of the German fund association BVI.

Tobias Pross holds a diploma in business management of the University Loerrach.

William Russell

William is Managing Director, Head of Product Specialists, Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. He has 26 years investment experience. William began his investment career working for close to 10 years as a research analyst and Asian equity fund manager. He subsequently moved to focus on product, market and distribution roles in Europe and Asia.

Before joining Allianz Global Investors in January 2014, he worked at Fidelity Worldwide Investment and M&G Investments.

William holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics & Social History from Bristol University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mandarin Chinese from Beijing University.

David Tan

David Tan joined Allianz Global Investors in May 2012. He is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Fixed Income Asia Pacific and is also a member of the AllianzGI’s Global Policy Council, which is tasked with setting the strategic direction for investments for AllianzGI. David brings with him a wealth of experience in the management of investments and business development.

His investment experience goes back to 1993. He joins AllianzGI from AXA Investment Managers UK where his last position was Executive Director Fixed Income Asia Pacific and Middle East with responsibility for business development. From late 2008 to 2011, David was CIO of Kyobo AXA Investment Managers in Korea, where he was responsible for fixed income, equities, quantitative investments and asset allocation. Before that, David was based in Singapore as Head of Fixed Income Asia, with purview of all the bond portfolio management activities in the region. He was also a key member of the Asian Balanced Team and Asset Allocation Committee. Apart from his extensive experience in fixed income, David has significant experience in managing total return strategies. Prior to joining AXAIM, he was a senior portfolio manager responsible for managing total return portfolios at ABN Amro Asset Management and Deutsche Asset Management. David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) degree with joint majors in Economics from Simon Fraser University, Canada.

Andreas Utermann

Andreas Utermann 

Chief Executive Officer and Global Chief Investment Officer

Andreas Utermann is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Global Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Allianz Global Investors, a global asset manager within Allianz’s asset management division. He is Chair of the Global Executive Committee.

Andreas has been with the firm since 2002. Since 2012 he has been Global CIO and co-Head of AllianzGI. He is a member of the Board of Allianz Asset Management AG, the holding company of Allianz’s global asset management businesses. In 2016, he became a non-Executive Director of Tokyo Marine Rogge Asset Management Limited.

Prior to joining AllianzGI, he spent twelve years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (formerly Mercury Asset Management), where became Global Head and CIO Equities. Andreas has been a member of the Board of the CFA Society of the UK since 2011 and sits on the Advisory Council of the European Institute’s Advisory Board.

In October 2016, he became a member of the Board of ICMA.

Andreas was appointed Chairman of the Forum of European Asset Managers (FEAM) in March 2017.

He supports a number of charitable causes and is a Trustee of the Utermann Charitable Trust, which has a focus on addressing environmental concerns as well as furthering education.

Andreas holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MA in Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Holger Wehner

Holger Wehner 

Head of Equity Product Specialists Europe

Holger is Head of Equity Product Specialists Europe. He also works as a senior product specialist covering the fundamental equity products of Allianz Global Investors in Frankfurt. He joined the product specialist team in November 2007.

Previously, he worked for more than six years as product specialist for equity and convertible products at WestLB Mellon Asset Management, a joint venture of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation and WestLB. Holger graduated with a M. A. in Economics from Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen/Germany. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst as well as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Stuart Winchester

Stuart Winchester

Stuart joined the firm in 1992 and has been a managing director since 2008. He is responsible for the Hong Kong's mandates in global equities and balanced funds, and manages the equity portion of the absolute return funds.

Beginning in 1994, Stuart has managed Oriental Income, a total return fund investing in the Asia Pacific region that has won numerous performance awards. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management in 1983.

Stuart joined Wood Gundy in 1984 and spent six years in Japan before transferring to Indonesia to run an affiliate joint venture merchant bank. Stuart has spent a total of 34 years in Asia and is a CFA charterholder.

Anthony Wong

Anthony joined the firm in 2012 as Portfolio Manager and is currently the co-lead manager for the China A-Shares equity portfolios. Prior to joining the Group, Anthony worked as a Director, Portfolio Manager at Bank Julius Baer where he was responsible for managing the Julius Baer China Fund, a QFII classified mutual fund that invests in China-listed A-shares and Hong Kong listed H-shares. Anthony had also worked at Yinhua Fund Management, Shenzhen as Deputy Head of Foreign Investment, where he managed the Hong Kong equity sub-portfolio of Yinhua QDII Global Core Equity Fund, and formulated the investment strategies for the Hong Kong equity market. Anthony’s working experience in the fund management industry started in 2002. Anthony is a CFA charterholder and holds a Master of Science in Finance from the London Business School, a Master of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
